Godolid circular route (15 km)

Zahínos, 06129, Badajoz

This circular route around the dehesa of Zahínos borders the Godolid stream, as well as other routes around this river. However, in this case, the route is approximately 15 km long. It starts and ends in Valencia del Mombuey road, next to the Higuera de Vargas one.

The Godolid stream is not crossed in this route, so there is no need to take any particular precaution when raining.

May is the right month to take this route, since you can find the Godolid river full of flowery hawthorns ("galaperos") and other species around the riverbank. Moreover, it has plenty of crystal clear water.
There are countless domestic animals in this route: horses, cows, donkeys, hens, sheeps, goats, dogs. You can see some wild animals too: ducks, eagles, ravens, jays, blackbirds, starlings, foxes, hares...
Regarding tree species, apart from the already mentioned hawthorns, you can also find holm and cork oaks.

Duration: 3h. 30 min.
