Near the tower and the town hall, it stands the Parish Church of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, presiding over the beautiful Extremadura square. Its modest external appearance and intriguing internal structure are remarkable because of the unusual layout and the richness of its morphological and spatial components.

Inside the church, we must highlight the statues of the Cristo de la Salud, a polychrome carving from 1773 and the Cristo de la Expiración, patron saint of the town and symbol of popular religious fervour, dated 1781. Other pieces of art are worth seeing: the altarpiece, altar and statue of the Virgen de los Remedios, patron saint of the Parish; the Baroque altarpiece of the Chapel of San Antonio Abad from the middle of the 18th century; and the Baroque altarpiece of the Chapel of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno and its statue from the 18th century. It is worth mentioning that the image of the Virgen de los Dolores; the Parish Monstrance, made in Mexico in 1752; and the Baptismal font with a heraldic coat of arms carved into the granite stone are believed to belong to the family González-Silva.
